A ranking presented by Mental Floss based on OECD data shows the countries that offer the highest annual income to teachers.

These figures mainly cover the annual salaries of secondary school teachers and also indicate the maximum salary levels that increase as careers progress.

Luxembourg ranks first as the country that pays the highest salaries to teachers in the world. Here, the annual starting salary for teachers is approximately $99,621, after 15 years of experience it is $137,418, and at the maximum level, it is around $173,165. These indicators make Luxembourg the highest-earning country for teaching both in Europe and globally.
