According to AzEdu.az, citing TASS, this information was provided by the Russian Institute of Applied Geophysics.
"On July 13 and 14, solar flare activity is generally low, with the possibility of M-class flares," the statement said.
In addition, a powerful M1.1 flare was recorded on the Sun on July 12.
Solar flares are divided into five classes based on the power of X-ray radiation: A, B, C, M, and X. The minimum A0.0 class corresponds to a radiation power of 10 nW per square meter in Earth's orbit. The power increases tenfold when moving to the next stage. Flares are usually accompanied by emissions of solar plasma, whose clouds can reach Earth and cause magnetic storms.
