The increasing prestige of the teaching profession is also reflected in the results of admission exams. The fact that young people who score high points choose pedagogy, along with traditional specialties such as law or medicine, creates a promising picture for the future of education.
It is interesting, how many applicants who distinguished themselves with their results this year and scored higher than 600 points in the admission exams chose the teaching specialty?
AzEdu.az conducted a survey among universities on the topic.
In response to the survey, the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University stated that 8 applicants who scored higher than 600 points in the admission exams for the bachelor's level of higher education institutions for the 2026-2027 academic year chose ASPU and its branches during specialty selection.

Aynuran Salim gizi Abbasova is a graduate of complete secondary school No. 7 named after Uzeyir Hajibeyov. Aynuran, who scored 649.4 points in the admission exams, chose the specialty of Mathematics and Informatics Teaching at the Agjabadi branch of ASPU.
Lera Mirza gizi Safiyeva is a graduate of Piral village complete secondary school in Gusar district. Lera, who actively participated in physics olympiads during her school years, scored 637.1 points in the admission exams and was admitted to the specialty of Mathematics and Physics Teaching at ASPU.
Elshad Azizulla oglu Musayev is a graduate of school No. 1 named after Zaki Karimov located in Nugadi village of Guba district. Elshad, who participated in various subject olympiads, scored 623 points in the admission exams. He chose the specialty of Mathematics Teaching at the Guba branch of ASPU as his first choice and was admitted there.
Zahra Vugar gizi Agayeva received her secondary education at complete secondary school No. 11 in Baku. Zahra, who graduated from school with a certificate of distinction, scored 615.5 points in the admission exams and was admitted to the specialty of Mathematics Teaching (instruction in English) at ASPU.
Aisha Ibrahim gizi Abdulmanafova is a graduate of school No. 6 in Shaki city. She was awarded the second place in Azerbaijani language and literature in the regional “Zafar” Olympiad held in 2025. Aisha, who scored 614 points in the admission exams, was admitted to the specialty of Foreign Language Teaching (English) at the Shaki branch of ASPU.
Aysu Rashad gizi Mustafayeva is a graduate of the secondary school named after Farhad Hamzayev located in Digah village of Guba district. Aysu, who scored 607.7 points in the admission exams, was admitted to the specialty of Azerbaijani Language and Literature Teaching at the Guba branch of ASPU.
Zahra Fuad gizi Najafzade is a graduate of complete secondary school No. 37 in Sumgayit city. Zahra, who scored 607 points in the admission exams, listed the specialty of Mathematics Teaching (instruction in English) as her first choice and was admitted to that specialty. It should be noted that in 2024, Zahra's sister Fatima Najafzade was also admitted to the specialty of Mathematics and Informatics Teaching at ASPU with 663.9 points.
Aysun Mansur gizi Mammadli graduated from the complete secondary school named after H. Ismayilov located in Eynalli village of Agstafa district with a certificate of distinction. Aysun, who scored 606.8 points in the admission exams, was admitted to the specialty of Mathematics and Physics Teaching at ASPU.
