Rudeness is not masculinity, aggression is not strength - The MISTAKE in children's upbringing

The aggressive behavior of students towards journalists during the incident at secondary school No. 225 in recent days has once again brought to the agenda the issue of compliance with student behavior rules in educational institutions.

It is interesting, what mistakes do parents make in the upbringing of boys in modern times?

Deputy Vasif Gafarov, who gave a statement to AzEdu.az regarding the topic, noted that one of the main mistakes parents make in the upbringing of boys is presenting aggressive behavior as strength, and rudeness as a sign of masculinity and character:

"Sometimes, from an early age, a child is instilled to act harshly, to impose their opinion by force, and not to back down in disputes. However, these are not signs of a strong character, but of an improperly formed behavior model. A boy should be explained that strength is not in intimidating others, but in self-control, managing emotions, and respecting the rights of others.

Turning aggression into a means of upbringing negatively affects the child's relationships with peers, behavior in the school environment, and integration into society in the future. Such children eventually struggle to accept criticism, approach different opinions with respect, and resolve conflicts in a healthy way.

Here, in addition to parental responsibility, an important task falls on the school. It is not enough to only provide knowledge to children. They should also be instilled with behavioral culture, responsibility, empathy, and respect for social rules. It should not be forgotten that to raise a well-behaved, self-confident, and responsible boy, not harshness, but a proper example and consistent upbringing are essential."
