There are a number of complaints regarding the teaching of physics and chemistry in rural schools. In some schools, the lack of laboratory equipment and visual aids prevents students from learning the subjects practically. At the same time, the small number of lesson hours allocated to these subjects also causes dissatisfaction.
It is interesting, what steps should be taken to increase the quality of teaching physics and chemistry in rural schools?
Member of the Science and Education Committee of the Milli Majlis, deputy Jeyhun Mammadov spoke to AzEdu.az about the topic.

It is impossible to teach subjects like chemistry and physics without laboratories. To solve this problem, the necessary opportunities must be created and special attention must be paid to the issue:
"In fact, today serious steps are being taken at the state level to improve the material and technical base of our schools. This issue is under the special attention of our state. In recent years, a large number of schools in Azerbaijan have been repaired and restored. This is an example of the attention and care shown by the state to the field of education.
Along with this, it is necessary to take into account a reality: it is actually quite difficult to teach subjects like chemistry and physics without laboratories. The necessary conditions must be created for the teaching of these subjects and special attention must be paid to the issue.
I believe that state institutions should continue to take steps in this direction. Specifically, the Ministry of Science and Education should consider the issue of allocating additional funds and taking appropriate measures to solve the problem.
Otherwise, effective teaching of these subjects will not be possible without the necessary laboratories and cabinets. Therefore, the issue should be considered a priority, and more serious steps should be taken to eliminate existing problems".
