The introduction of a uniform dress code for students and teachers in schools is met with various opinions. While some teachers and students welcome this innovation, others express certain hesitations and dissatisfactions.
So, what are the main reasons for the different approaches regarding the implementation of a uniform dress code? What factors influence the attitude towards this decision, and what could be the reason why some teachers and students find it difficult to adapt to the uniform?
Member of the Science and Education Committee of the Milli Majlis, deputy Jeyhun Mammadov told AzEdu.az on the topic that we must unequivocally strive to protect our unity, solidarity, brotherhood, and every step we take:
"When touching upon this issue, we must consider several important points. The point is that this is not just about protesting a decision. Unfortunately, the propaganda carried out purposefully and the steps taken also play a certain role. This is not a random process. The issue has serious reasons, and attempts are being made to distance it from its essence. The goal is to politicize the process and bring the issue to the level of confrontation.
Some try to link this topic purely with religious factors. However, when approaching the issue more deeply, it is necessary to take into account the state's various approaches in this area. Therefore, we believe that all our parents, citizens, and members of society should be careful in this matter. They should stay away from confrontation and discord and strive to ensure that the situation does not negatively affect our society.
Azerbaijan is a strong state and has rich traditions of statehood. Today, we must pay special attention to protecting our unity, solidarity, and brotherhood. At the same time, we must protect the health of the educational environment, strive for the correct regulation of processes occurring in education, and take necessary steps to ensure that people do not face difficulties."
