Statistical indicators related to the Education Student Loan (ESL) for the 2025-2026 academic year show that the bachelor's level is preferred in the selection of students by education levels.
According to information obtained by AzEdu.az, a total of 85,149 formalizations were registered during the reporting period. Of these, 58,900 (69 percent) accounted for bachelor's, 19,759 (23 percent) for master's, 5,694 (7 percent) for secondary specialized education, and 796 (1 percent) for technical vocational and higher technical vocational education levels.
Looking separately at the indicators for the 2025-2026 academic year, it appears that 19,497 formalizations were made for the bachelor's level, 5,900 for master's, 2,402 for secondary specialized education, and 641 for technical vocational and higher technical vocational education.
The dynamics of the last five academic years also show a continuous increase in the number of beneficiaries of ESL at the bachelor's education level. In particular, in the 2025-2026 academic year, the number of formalizations at the bachelor's level reached a higher indicator compared to previous years.
Overall, the statistical picture demonstrates that the ESL mechanism is mainly used by students pursuing bachelor's degrees, and at the same time, there is interest in this support mechanism at the master's, secondary specialized, and vocational education levels.
