Girl rescued after 248 hours under rubble graduates

Aleyna Ölmez, who was rescued from under the rubble in the 248th hour during the devastating earthquakes in Turkey on February 6, 2023, has successfully completed university.

AzEdu.az reports, citing Turkish media, that Aleyna, who studied Social Security at the Ayaş Vocational School of Ankara University, received her diploma at the graduation ceremony together with the miners who rescued her from under the rubble and the doctors who treated her.

Aleyna, who lost her parents and siblings during the earthquake, continued her education by enrolling in university after completing her treatment.

Speaking after the graduation ceremony, Aleyna stated that she dedicates this success to her family. She noted that she aims to continue her education in the future and work in public service.
