28,000 people were admitted to vocational education institutions in the current academic year.
AzEdu.az reports that this was stated by the Deputy Minister of Science and Education, Kenan Karimzade, during his speech at the closing event of the "Profest 2026" project.
He stated that admission to vocational education institutions has increased by 70 percent in the last 5 years: “The number of people admitted to vocational education institutions has increased from 28,000 to 52,000 in the last 5 years. It is gratifying that the participation of girls in vocational education has increased.”
He stated that 70 percent of admissions fall to the regions: “Vocational education institutions with modern standards operate in the regions.”
