Researcher-writer Veysel Gider, known for his research and works on the history of Bayburt, graduated from university at the age of 75.
AzEdu.az reports, citing Turkish media, that Gider, who was admitted to Bayburt University's History department in 2022 at the age of 71, successfully completed his four-year education and received his diploma.
His family members, relatives, and friends also shared his joy at the event.
Veysel Gider stated that after a conference he gave to students at the university, he promised them that he would study at the Faculty of History, and he fulfilled this promise. According to him, he chose History as his first choice, was admitted, started his education, and today he is proud to graduate.
Gider noted that his student years with his young classmates were unforgettable for him. He said he believes that the relationships he built with his student friends will continue in the future.
Veysel Gider's wife also said that she supported him in every way for four years. She noted that she prepared her husband for school every day and gave him a watch as a graduation gift.

Veysel Gider, who further developed his interest in history with academic education, also wrote a book titled "A Short Method in Historiography" during his student years.
