On May 24, the first attempt of the admission exams for specialty groups II and III was held. According to many applicants who participated in the exam, the questions were easier than expected.
On June 7, the first attempt of the admission exam for specialty groups I and IV will be held.
It is interesting, what will be the difficulty level of the exams to be held for specialty groups I and IV?
Education expert Elchin Afandi, who gave a statement to AzEdu.az on the topic, stated that the tendency for questions to be more accessible is expected to continue in specialty groups I and IV:
"Regarding the graduation exams held by the State Examination Center in March and April, applicants expressed opinions about the difficulty level of some questions. However, we did not seriously encounter such opinions in the block exams held for specialty groups II and III on May 24. On the contrary, opinions about the questions being easier and more accessible prevailed. As you can see, there was no serious dissatisfaction regarding the difficulty of the questions.
It is true that certain opinions were expressed. For example, it was noted that some questions in history for group II and literature for group III were difficult. However, these were mostly individual in nature. At the same time, no scientific or technical error facts related to the questions were recorded.
Naturally, the same tendency is expected to be observed in the exams for specialty groups I and IV. In any case, the questions are still formed at three levels: simple, medium, and difficult. This directly depends on the preparation level of the applicants. Applicants who are better prepared, naturally, can answer the questions more easily."
The expert noted that the expectations for this year's block exams are generally positive:
"As you know, since applicants mainly worked on closed-type questions and adapted to this format before the block exam, they can answer those questions more easily during the exam. Closed-type questions also prevail in block exams. Thus, 66 of the 90 questions presented are closed-type questions. This allows applicants to work with a format they are already accustomed to.
Simply, more attention is required from applicants here. Because wrong answers affect correct answers. Each wrong answer means a loss of 0.25 points, and four wrong answers take away one correct answer. As a result, applicants lose a certain number of points in the overall score. Therefore, it is important to be as careful as possible in the block exam.
But overall, our expectations for this year's block exams are more positive, and we predict that the results will also be good. There will probably be applicants who achieve high results."
