Yesterday, admission exams to higher education institutions for I and IV specialty groups were held. Immediately after the exam, some applicants stated that the questions in biology were easy, while others, on the contrary, emphasized that they encountered quite complex questions.
It is interesting, what differences were noticeable in the difficulty of the questions when comparing this year's exam with previous years?
AzEdu.az was told about the topic by "Exemplary Teacher", biology teacher Rəqşanə Məmmədova.
She noted that it is completely natural for there to be difficult questions in the exam, especially those requiring deep logical analysis and mathematical calculation, and this should be considered normal from a scientific point of view:
"Yesterday was a very important day for IV group applicants. If we make a general assessment, I can say that the questions prepared for the Biology subject were entirely based on the official assessment criteria announced by the State Examination Center (SEC). We did not encounter any questions that were outside the curriculum or methodologically inaccurate.
The structure of the questions balanced tasks that tested both theoretical knowledge and analytical thinking. The topics were within the scope of the materials covered by the textbooks, but this does not mean that the exam was simple. As required by the assessment criteria, not only the student's memory but also their ability to understand and apply biological processes was tested.

We must not forget that a large part of the applicants who choose the IV specialty group are future doctors - they are aspiring to Medical University, as well as high-scoring fields such as biotechnology."
