In Zonguldak, high school student B.T.A.'s blackmail messages to his classmates in a "WhatsApp" group resulted in a police operation.
According to information obtained by AzEdu.az from Turkish media, the student studying at Fener Anatolian High School wrote messages about attacking the school and shared blackmailing images in the "WhatsApp" group where his classmates were.
These posts caused concern among students and parents.
Based on the received information, the police acted on the instructions of the Zonguldak Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and conducted an operation at the student's home. During the search, 6 blank pistol (blank-firing weapon) bullets were found in his room.
The student was detained by officers from the Police Children's Department. In the preliminary investigation conducted on him, it was also determined that he had previously been expelled from the school where he studied due to disciplinary violations.
In his statement, B.T.A. stated that he wrote the messages for a joke and brought the found blank bullets from the village as a souvenir.
The investigation into the incident continues.
