Educational institutions enter information about expulsions, reinstatements, changes of specialization, changes in the form of education, changes in the form of payment, changes in personal data, and other information that occurs during the period of study into the "Student-Graduate" information system.
AzEdu.az reports that this information was provided in the 12th issue of the "Abituriyent" journal, which contains scientific and statistical materials on student admissions for 2025 and the results of graduation exams for general education institutions.
The publication stated that last year, a total of 12,969 students were expelled from educational institutions due to non-payment of tuition fees, absenteeism, or at the student's own request. Of these, 6,122 were in bachelor's degree programs, 1,897 in master's degree programs, 2,624 in full secondary vocational education, and 2,326 in general secondary vocational education.
In addition, 200 registrations were made in 2025 due to the death of students. Of these, 33 were in bachelor's degree programs, 5 in master's degree programs, 67 in full secondary vocational education, and 95 in general secondary vocational education.
According to the report, 938 students were expelled from educational institutions due to academic debt. Of these, 684 were registered in bachelor's degree programs, 36 in master's degree programs, 73 in full secondary vocational education, and 145 in general secondary vocational education.
