The introduction of a fee for participation in the MIQ exam starting this year has led to various discussions in the education community.
Some teachers believe that the payment mechanism may affect the number of participants in the exam and, as a result, change the competitive environment.
Precisely for this reason, different opinions are being voiced among teachers that the exam will be easier compared to previous years.
Some teachers think the exam will be easier due to the fee.
Speaking to AzEdu.az on the topic, the director of the Research and Development Center in Education, Ilkin Hasanov, noted that it is known that the MIQ exam will be paid this year, but the fact that the exam is paid does not mean that the exam will be easier:
“This is simply a certain change made in the procedure for organizing the exam and has no connection with the content of the exam. A framework document reflecting the content of the exam was presented by ARTI in October 2025. That document did not include any point regarding increasing or decreasing the difficulty level of the exam.
As for MIQ being paid, I believe that this step arose from a certain necessity. Because a significant portion of candidates who register each year do not participate in the exam. The new rule will mainly have a certain impact on the participation of individuals who do not aim to become teachers, but simply register for the exam to test their knowledge and skills.”
