Our country is currently hosting the WUF13 forum. Students from Azerbaijani higher education institutions are also actively participating in this prestigious international event, representing their universities and our country with dignity.
It is interesting to know, how many students from higher education institutions are represented in total at the WUF13 forum?
Regarding the topic, as AzEdu.az Education portal, we have sent an inquiry to higher education institutions.
In response to our inquiry, Azerbaijan University (AU) stated that students regularly participate actively as volunteers in international events and forums held in Baku:
“We also have students involved in volunteer activities within the framework of WUF-13. However, since the organizers of the event have not provided us with a list, it is currently not possible to provide information about the exact number of volunteers.”
ADA University noted that 3 SDA students participated on the first day of the forum:
“On May 19 and 20, another group of 3 SDA students will represent the university at the event. In addition, 5 ADA students are volunteering at the forum. On May 21, the entire faculty of the university, as well as the teaching and professorial staff, will also participate in the event.”
Baku Engineering University (BMU) stated that approximately 100 employees and students are participating in events or in other forms within the framework of the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13):
“Some of them were selected as volunteers for this important event. Some participated in the official opening ceremonies. In addition, BMU is represented at the “Urban Expo” exhibition organized within the session with innovative conceptual projects.
The university presents two conceptual research projects covering urbanism and architecture on the topic “Traditional and organic approach to the future city model” at the exhibition.
Representation at WUF13 will make a significant contribution to the expansion of experience exchange on international scientific platforms, the formation of multidisciplinary cooperation opportunities, and the development of scientific research activities in urbanism, architecture, and sustainable urban planning for the university's academic staff, students, and young researchers.”
Azerbaijan Medical University (AMU) stated that 32 volunteers and 11 visiting students are participating in WUF13.
Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) and Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University (ASPU) noted that students are participating in the forum.
Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) stated that AzTU students are participating in WUF13 by registering voluntarily.
Khazar University informed that 50 students from Khazar University are volunteering at the WUF13 summit.
According to information from Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL), more than 100 students are participating in events held within the framework of the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13).
It should be noted that their participation in the forum not only demonstrates the interest, knowledge, and potential of young people in global issues but also indicates Azerbaijan's growing prestige on international platforms.
Azerbaijan Tourism and Management University (ATMU) stated that approximately 30 students from ATMU are participating as volunteers.
