A delegation led by Aleksey Dniprov, Rector of Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, one of Ukraine's leading higher education institutions, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, who was on a visit to Azerbaijan within the framework of the 13th session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13), visited Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AzMIU).
AzEdu.az reports that within the framework of the visit, a broad meeting dedicated to cooperation prospects between the two universities was held at AzMIU.
At the meeting, AzMIU Rector, Doctor of Architecture, Professor Gulchohra Mammadova provided detailed information to the guests about the university's activities, international relations, scientific potential, modern educational opportunities, and strategic development directions.
Professor Gulchohra Mammadova stated in her speech that holding such a prestigious global platform as WUF13 in Baku is of special importance for Azerbaijan, as well as for AzMIU, the country's leading higher education institution in architecture and construction. The Rector emphasized that the forum creates new opportunities in terms of urban planning, sustainable development, innovative urban approaches, and international academic cooperation.
The Rector of AzMIU noted that as a leading higher education institution in Azerbaijan in the fields of architecture, civil engineering, urban planning, design, engineering communication systems, and technology, the university trains highly qualified personnel in line with the country's development priorities. It was stated that the large-scale reconstruction and construction projects carried out in the liberated territories have further increased the demand for specialists in these areas, and AzMIU actively participates in this process with its scientific and academic potential.
