AzEdu.az reports that this was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the military parade dedicated to the fifth anniversary of the victory in the Patriotic War.
The Turkish President stated that today he commemorates with mercy all martyrs laid to rest in the Patriotic War.
Erdoğan recited Mammad Araz's poem “Let the Homeland Speak,” which explains the love for the homeland, and is one of the symbols of Azerbaijani literature:

Must say: Homeland! –
Our sword, our shield
Must say: Homeland! –
Instead of those who died,
Those of us who remain must say: Homeland! –
Let every feeling of our heart,
Every beat
Say: Homeland! –
No matter where we are,
