This country increases the funds allocated to education threefold

The Government of Kazakhstan has launched large-scale reforms aimed at increasing the country's scientific and educational potential. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated at the “Academic Knowledge Land” forum that state funding allocated to the education and science sectors will be tripled in the coming years.

AzEdu.az reports, citing a foreign source, that the main goal of the new strategy is to strengthen the training of qualified personnel in the field of artificial intelligence and to transform Kazakhstan into an international scientific cooperation center. Tokayev said that partnerships will be established with leading universities and research centers worldwide in this direction.

According to the Government of Kazakhstan, within the framework of the program, technology-oriented teaching methods will be implemented in schools and universities, and national laboratories for artificial intelligence research will be established simultaneously.

Experts believe that this decision will strengthen competition in education and innovation in Central Asia, creating new opportunities for the region to become a “center for scientific development.”
