"A new action plan on child rights is being prepared".
AzEdu.az reports that Bahar Muradova, Chair of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, stated this at a press conference titled “Family, Women and Children Issues in Azerbaijani Legislation”.
She noted that new norms related to family and children have been included in the legislation, and the state's oversight of this has been determined: “First of all, it is necessary to mention the “Child Strategy” document covering the years 2020–2030. Numerous steps have been taken based on this document. Work is underway on the preparation of an action plan that will be completed by the end of this year. One of the main directions of the Strategy envisages the improvement of legislation, and in this direction, 5 draft normative legal documents have been prepared by the State Committee in the last 5 years. These are important achievements”, she stated.
