New appointments have been made at the Baku City Education Department (BŞTİ).
AzEdu.az reports that by order of Eşqi Bağırov, Director of the State Agency for Preschool and General Education under the Ministry of Science and Education, Fəttah Fəttayev and Turanə Məcidli have been appointed as deputy heads of BŞTİ.
It should be noted that Fəttah Fəttayev was engaged in pedagogical activities at the School-Lyceum Complex under Baku Slavic University from 1997 to 2019. From 2019 to 2026, he served as director at full secondary schools No. 161 and 214 in Baku city.
He was the winner of the "Best Teacher of the Year" competition in 2012, was awarded an Honorary Diploma of the Ministry of Education in 2016, and was awarded the badge "Advanced Education Worker of the Republic of Azerbaijan" in 2023. He is the author of more than 10 scientific articles, 8 books, including 6 textbooks.
Turanə Məcidli began her pedagogical career in 2015. She worked as a chemistry teacher at full secondary school No. 329 in Baku city and at Baku Modern Education Complex.
In 2022, she served as deputy director at full secondary school No. 106 in Baku city, and from 2023 to 2025, she worked as director at Technical-Humanitarian Lyceum No. 2. Since 2024, she has been pursuing doctoral studies in the specialty of "Organization and Planning of Education" at the Azerbaijan Republic's Education Institute. From 2025, she worked as the head of the General Education Organization sector at BŞTİ.
