A armed incident occurred at "Idrak" Lyceum, located at Ziya Bunyadov 3, Baku (opposite the former Karl Marx monument).
According to information, a teacher of the lyceum was shot by a 10th-grade student. The person shot was the lyceum's mathematics teacher. The injured teacher has been hospitalized, and their condition is reported to be serious.
It was established in Sumgait in 2008. Its Baku branch began operations in 2014.
"Idrak" Lyceum is the only school with 100 percent university admission results every year.
AzEdu.az reports that the tuition fees of one of the most preferred lyceums by parents are not low at all.

For secondary (V-IX) and full (X-XI/XII) grades, it is 10,500-16,500 AZN.
It should be noted that the head of the Lyceum, Mönsüm Alışov, stated in his declaration that the student brought the hunting rifle to the lyceum in a school bag. The incident occurred due to carelessness.
