Ankara University of Social Sciences (ASBÜ) Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Campus has made an important decision for the family members of Karabakh War martyrs.
AzEdu.az reports, citing Turkish media, that at the meeting of the ASBÜ TRNC Campus Board of Directors held on January 16, 2026, chaired by ASBÜ TRNC Rector Prof. Dr. Enver Arpa, the provision of 100 percent scholarships to the children and spouses of Karabakh War martyrs was approved, based on decision number 2026/01-08.
ASBÜ TRNC Rector Prof. Dr. Enver Arpa, in a statement regarding the matter, said that Azerbaijan achieved an absolute victory in Karabakh and liberated its territories from occupation. According to him, this victory is not only Azerbaijan's triumph but also that of the entire Turkic world.
The Rector emphasized that ASBÜ TRNC regards the Karabakh Victory as its own triumph and always commemorates with respect the dear memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for this sacred cause. Prof. Dr. Enver Arpa noted that the university continues its activities based on the concept of “one nation, three states.”
“As the ASBÜ TRNC Campus Board of Directors, with these feelings and thoughts, we have decided to create educational opportunities for the children and spouses of our Karabakh War martyrs. Our goal is to contribute to their receiving the best and highest quality education,” the Rector added.
