As we know, in recent times, Iran has witnessed economic difficulties, international sanctions, and widespread protests against the government's policies. People are demanding more rights and freedoms, improvement of the economic situation, and political reforms.
Especially in regions densely populated by Southern Azerbaijanis, national self-awareness and demands for rights are growing stronger day by day.
In this context, AzEdu.az conducted a survey regarding the number of Iranian citizens studying in Azerbaijani higher education institutions.
In response to our survey, it was reported that more than 300 Iranian students are studying at the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AzMİU).
Currently, 11 Iranian students are studying across various faculties at ADA University.
Meanwhile, 3 Iranian students are studying at Baku Eurasian University (BAAU). One of them is studying accounting, one English language translation, and the other French language translation.
A total of 9 Iranian students are studying at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts (ADMIU). 5 of them are studying design. The other students are studying acting, instrumental performance (tar), directing, and popular music and jazz performance (vocal).
Currently, 8 Iranian students are studying at Khazar University. 2 of them are pursuing doctoral degrees, 2 master's degrees, and 4 bachelor's degrees. Among the bachelor's students, 2 have chosen computer science, 1 computer engineering, and 1 business administration.
Meanwhile, 3 Iranian students are studying at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC). All of these students are pursuing a bachelor's degree in business administration in English.
