Tohoku University of Japan has announced that it will increase tuition fees for international students starting from 2027.
AzEdu.az reports, citing foreign media, that the increase will apply to undergraduate and master's programs, and according to the university's calculations, the fee will be approximately 1.7 times higher than for local students. The university's goal is to increase the number of international students and to offer new scholarships for talented students.
This step is considered a significant change in tuition fee policy among Japan's national universities.
