For the 2025–2026 academic year, 62 foreign citizens have gained the right to study in Azerbaijani higher education institutions within the framework of Intergovernmental Scholarship Programs (ISP).
AzEdu.az reports that information on this matter was provided by the Ministry of Science and Education.
Of them, 23 are citizens of the People's Republic of China, 11 are citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 4 are citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan, 4 are citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, and 20 are citizens of the Federal Republic of Somalia. This indicator represents a 32 percent increase compared to last year.
Within the framework of ISP, 115 foreign students from Romania, the People's Republic of China, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Federal Republic of Somalia, and the Kyrgyz Republic are currently studying in higher education institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
