A new feature has been implemented in the "Labor and Employment" subsystem (ƏMAS) of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population to protect the labor rights of employees under 18 years of age.
AzEdu.az reports that the State Labor Inspectorate Service has disseminated information on this matter.
According to the new feature, it is technically impossible to enter a duration for labor leave for employees in this age category that is less than the period stipulated by law (42 calendar days for employees under 16 years of age, and 35 calendar days for employees aged 16 to 18 years).
At the same time, the system restricts the entry of working hours exceeding the duration stipulated by law (24 hours per week for employees under 16 years of age, and 36 hours for employees aged 16-18 years).
This new feature serves to ensure that labor relations with employees aged 16 to 18 are established in accordance with legislative requirements and that data in ƏMAS is correctly formed.
Additionally, by adding another functionality to ƏMAS, employees have been given the opportunity to obtain certificates regarding their main workplaces, as well as additional workplaces, in real-time through this e-system.
