A poisoning incident among secondary school students has been recorded in Ganja.
AzEdu.az sent an inquiry to TƏBİB regarding the matter.
In response to our inquiry, TƏBİB stated that starting from approximately 21:30 on 09.12.2025, 8 individuals (5 male, 3 female) were hospitalized in the Infectious Diseases Department of Abbas Sahhat Hospital, which is part of Ganja City United Hospital:
"Necessary medical services were provided to patients diagnosed with gastroenteritis and colitis of unspecified origin. Individuals whose condition was assessed as satisfactory have been been discharged home for outpatient treatment".
The Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency stated that specialists from AQTA, together with employees of relevant institutions, have started investigations to determine the causes of the incident in Ganja, as well as whether it was food poisoning. The matter has been taken under control. The public will be informed about the results of the investigations.

AzEdu.az reports that students of Full Secondary School No. 16 named after M. Sh. Vazeh in Ganja city were poisoned by the doner kebab they ate.
7 students were hospitalized with a diagnosis of poisoning.
The poisoned individuals are F. Ismayilov, born in 2015; Kh. Taghiyeva, born in 2015; A. Zeynalov, born in 2014; N. Mammadova, born in 2015; A. Mammadzaadeh, born in 2015; T. Jafarzadeh, born in 2014; H. Huseynli, born in 2015; and A. Mirzayev, born in 2015.
According to the information, the condition of the poisoned students is currently normal.
An investigation is being conducted regarding the incident.
