Registration for the second attempt examination for I-IV specialty groups for admission to the bachelor's level of higher education institutions for the 2026/2027 academic year continues.
AzEdu.az reports that, as of 11:39 today, the number of applicants registered for admission to the bachelor's level of higher education and the secondary vocational education level (based on complete secondary education) in 2026 was 135,203. Of these, 122,174 applicants registered in the Azerbaijani section, and 13,029 in the Russian section.
The number of those registered for the test examination for I-IV specialty groups of the bachelor's level of higher education is as follows:
I specialty group: 1,169 (Azerbaijani section: 968, Russian section: 201)
II specialty group: 2,020 (Azerbaijani section: 1,689, Russian section: 331)
III specialty group: 2,175 (Azerbaijani section: 1,838, Russian section: 337)
IV specialty group: 294 (Azerbaijani section: 226, Russian section: 68)
In total, the number of registered applicants for specialty groups was 5,658.
The number of applicants who will participate in the test examination for the subject "Azerbaijani language (as a state language)" was 2,264 people. Of these applicants:
Will participate in the admission exam: 1,517
Will participate in the graduation exam: 747
Applicants who will participate in the I stage: 972
Applicants admitted to the competition: 1,236
The number of applicants who joined the competition based on the results of the 2025 graduation or the I stage of the test exams was 3,370, and the number of sub-bachelor's electronic applications was 10,778.
It should be noted that registration for participation in the 2nd attempt of the 2nd stage of the admission exam for I, II, III and IV specialty groups will be held from June 1 to June 8, 2026.
