What should change and what innovations should be made in teacher certification? - SURVEY  

AzEdu.az Education Portal conducts a survey reflecting the teacher certification process, its current rules, and educators' attitudes towards them. 

The presented quantitative survey will create the necessary conditions for revealing the positive and negative details of the certification process. The purpose of the survey is to gather educators' real experiences, the difficulties they face, and their opinions about the process. 

After the certifications held for various subjects on social networks, we have witnessed teachers' dissatisfaction and suggestions regarding certain issues. 

The results of the survey, conducted to clarify the details that cause more dissatisfaction, will also be included in the report prepared by the AzEdu Analytical Education Center.  

Thus, these results will also play an important role as a basis for future analysis and public discussions.
The survey is supportive in terms of conveying teachers' opinions and thoughts, their feedback on certain events, and presenting data to relevant institutions. 

For this reason, as AzEdu Education Platform, we hope that the relevant institutions will approach the survey results and analytical materials as a public support-oriented motive.

In this regard, we invite teachers to actively participate in the survey in order to create a basis for taking steps towards a real solution to existing dissatisfactions.

Readers who wish to participate in the survey can go to the main page of the AzEdu.az Education Portal (in the bottom right corner on computers, and in the survey panel at the bottom of the site on mobile devices), answer the relevant question, and click the “Vote” button. 

QUESTION: What innovation would you like to see implemented in the teacher certification process?

-Application of salary increase not based on a specific passing score, but in a differential manner;

-Reducing the number of questions related to curriculum content and prioritizing practical knowledge;

-Considering the results of the interview stage in salary increases;

-Developing teachers' ICT skills before certification;

-Involving teachers who passed MIQ in the certification process without waiting 3 years;

-Including school principals and their deputies in the certification process;

-Providing two opportunities for re-participation to educators who showed an unsuccessful result once in certification;

-Expanding salary privileges for teachers over 60 years old who voluntarily participate in certification;

-Applying teachers' individual success indicators and research works to certification assessment;

-Increasing the time allocated for the test exam stage of certification;

-Application of rules and requirements in the interview stage;

The survey starts on May 11, 2026, and will continue until 23:59 on May 20, 2026.
