The results of the graduation exams held for 11th-grade students have been announced. Some students plan to be admitted to secondary specialized educational institutions (colleges).
One of the most discussed questions among them is related to the application of subject-specific score limits in the college admission process.
According to information obtained by AzEdu.az from the State Examination Center (SEC), applicants whose total score in the admission (graduation) exam is not less than 50, and whose score in each of the Azerbaijani (or Russian) language and mathematics subjects is not less than 10, are admitted to specialty selection. No score limit is applied for the foreign language subject.
Applicants whose total score is not less than 40 (and not less than 50 in the competition for the specialty "Physical Education Teacher") and who receive a "pass" in the aptitude exams conducted by the relevant commission are admitted to the competition for specialties requiring special aptitude. No score limit is applied for subjects during the competition.
It should be noted that registration for those wishing to be admitted to secondary specialized educational institutions based on complete (11-year) secondary education was carried out from February 18 to March 5.
However, the system will be reactivated during the specialty selection stage. Candidates who could not register will be able to apply again at this stage.
