“We started preparing the content for the certification of educators-teachers and methodologists working in preschool educational institutions last year. An assessment framework is being developed, taking into account professional development needs, and will be announced to the public shortly”.
AzEdu.az reports that these statements were made by Nazakat Mehdiyeva, director of the Center for Professional Development of Educators of ARTİ, in an interview with “Azerbaijan teacher”.
N. Mehdiyeva also stated that the date of the certification exams for educators-teachers and methodologists working in preschool educational institutions has not yet been determined: “However, the assessment framework will be presented long before the exams so that educators-teachers can benefit from it. The framework is being developed by a large working group. It includes various specialists, educators, heads of preschool educational institutions, and educators-teachers.
The assessment framework will include content and methodology, pedagogical and psychological approaches. The content of preschool education is related to methodology, because here, unlike in general education institutions, there are no separate subjects. The main focus here will be on various approaches, ways of working with children, etc. in the content and methodology”.
