The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has launched the new “International Schools Portal” with the aim of facilitating international families' access to education.
AzEdu.az reports, citing foreign media, that the platform operates in both Japanese and English.
Through the portal, it is possible to obtain information about the location, class capacity, language of instruction, admission rules, and educational programs of international schools.
This initiative enables foreign families living and working in Tokyo to make their school choices more conveniently and systematically.
The city administration has taken this step with the aim of further globalizing Tokyo and demonstrating flexibility in meeting the educational needs of foreign families.
Experts note that such a portal will also be beneficial for companies operating in an international environment and for diplomatic missions.
The technical and database improvement of the portal is ongoing. This example can serve as a model for other countries, especially for regions seeking international outreach in education.
