Persons applying for the recognition of foreign educational documents must submit a number of documents.
According to information obtained by AzEdu.az from the Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (AQAE), for applications concerning secondary vocational education, a color scanned version of the original diploma and its apostille, as well as a color scan of the transcript and its apostille, are required.
Notarized translations of the diploma and transcript, as well as their apostilles, into Azerbaijani, excluding Russian, English, and Turkish languages, must be submitted. In addition, both sides of the applicant's identity card, and for foreign citizens, a permanent or temporary residence permit, the front page of the foreign passport, and all pages with border crossing stamps must be scanned in color and submitted. A color scan of the military ID or an electronic copy of the military service registration certificate is also required.
For applications at the Bachelor's level, a color scan of the higher education document (diploma) and its apostille, as well as a color scan of the diploma supplement (transcript) and its apostille, must be submitted. Notarized translations of these documents into Azerbaijani, excluding Russian, English, and Turkish languages, must also be attached. An electronic copy of both sides of the identity card, all important pages of the foreign passport, as well as the military ID or military registration certificate, must be submitted. If the applicant has transferred between institutions or within an institution during their studies, a scan of the official certificate related to the transfer is required. Furthermore, individuals admitted to the bachelor's level based on a secondary vocational education diploma must submit a scanned version of that diploma.
Applicants at the Master's level must submit a color scan of the higher education document (diploma) and its apostille, as well as a color scan of the transcript and its apostille. Notarized translations of these documents into Azerbaijani (excluding Russian, English, and Turkish languages) are also required. Both sides of the identity card, all important pages of the foreign passport, the military ID or military service registration certificate, as well as a color scan of the bachelor's diploma, must be uploaded to the system.
It should be noted that when applying for a master's degree and if the bachelor's diploma was issued by a foreign higher education institution, a separate application for the recognition of the qualification for that diploma must first be made. The required documents must only be uploaded to the personal account via an electronic application; no documents are accepted via email, letter, or physical submission. The diploma and transcript must be legalized in the country where they were issued before applying for recognition. Each document must be added to the system in PDF format, not exceeding 5 MB, in color and legible.
