A large number of students scoring above 600 points study at higher education institutions located in Baku. Nevertheless, the number of students falling into this category is not small in higher education institutions located in the regions.
It should be noted that despite scoring more than 600 points, many applicants prefer to continue their education not in the capital, but specifically in regional universities.
It is interesting to know, what was the highest score for student admission in regional universities this year?
Regarding the topic, AzEdu.az Education Portal sent an inquiry to universities located in the regions.
In response to our inquiry, Mingachevir State University (MSU) stated that in the current academic year, 18 students scored above 500, and 2 students scored above 600, earning the title of student at Mingachevir State University:
“Our student with the highest score is Shabnam Shirinova. She scored 638.8 points and earned the title of MSU student in the specialty of 'Foreign Language Teaching (English)'”.
According to information provided by Lankaran State University (LSU), there were 40 students who scored more than 500 points in this year's admission:
“Among them, one student, Asgarova Arzu Khayyam qizi, scored 620.1 points and continues her education in the specialty of Foreign Language Teaching (English) at the Faculty of Philology and Primary Education. It should be noted that last year this number was 30. This year there is an increase of 10 people".
It was noted by Ganja State University (GSU) that Sona Hatamova, admitted to the specialty of Azerbaijani Language and Literature Teaching, achieved the highest result with 672 points:
“In Mathematics Teaching, Ayshan Aslanli secured one of the state-funded places with 617.6 points. In Informatics (Digital Skills) Teaching, Narmin Muradova scored 633.6 points. In Foreign Language Teaching (English), Janana Aliyeva scored 603.9 points, Gunel Gurbanova 624.8 points, Nuray Khalilzade 606.2 points, Fatima Musayeva 630 points, Nigar Verdiyeva 628.8 points, Fidan Rajabova 603.8 points, Nurjan Karimova 653.7 points, and Fadaya Mammadova 608.1 points, gaining admission to full-time education under state order".
According to information from Azerbaijan University of Technology, the highest score recorded for the 2025/26 academic year was 540.9 points:
“Thus, Rahimli Nurlan Javid oglu was admitted to the Information Security specialty with 540.9 points".
