The position of higher education institutions in international rankings is considered one of the important indicators in terms of education quality and the recognition of universities in the global environment.
For this reason, we addressed an inquiry to universities regarding which international rankings they are included in.
In response to an inquiry from AzEdu.az, Baku Engineering University stated that it achieved a successful result in the “QS Europe 2025” ranking table by “QS Quacquarelli Symonds”, an international analytical agency in the field of higher education.
BMU, which was once again included in the ranking of Europe's best higher education institutions, advanced 60 positions, rising to the 491st position. Among West Asian universities, BMU is ranked 34th. A total of 685 higher education institutions from Europe were included in the new ranking.
Last year, BMU was also included in “QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2025”, one of the world's most prestigious ranking tables. BMU ranked fourth among Azerbaijani universities in the QS Sustainability ranking.
This year, BMU achieved more significant progress in the new ranking list of world universities (QS World University Rankings 2026). BMU, which entered the global TOP 1000 in the list, advanced 550 positions compared to last year, settling in the 901-950 range. It should be noted that a total of 6 of our universities entered the TOP 1000 in the “QS 2026 World University Rankings”.
