Regarding the topic, AzEdu.az sent an inquiry to universities.
In response to our inquiry, Elman Babayev, Head of the Public Relations Department of Baku Engineering University (BMU), stated that there are 27 Patriotic War veterans at the university:
"I should also note that Azər Abdullazadə, a 19-year-old first-year student of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction at BMU, was awarded the title of 'Hero of the Patriotic War', the highest military award of the Republic of Azerbaijan".
According to information from Mingachevir State University (MDU), approximately 30-students who participated in the Second Karabakh War continue their education at MDU.
It was reported by Azerbaijan University (AU) that 7 students who participated in the Patriotic War are studying at the university.
"Specifically, 1 person is a master's student, and 6 people are bachelor's students".
Esmira Ismayilova, Head of the Public Relations and Press Service of Lankaran State University (LDU), noted that the university has 11 martyrs, and 3 martyr families work at the university:
“Currently, 18 students are studying, and 8 people - staff, teachers, and employees - participated in the Karabakh War and anti-terror operations".
According to information from Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ADNSU), 2 individuals who participated in the Patriotic War are studying at ADNSU.
It was reported by Khazar University that 7 individuals at the university are veterans of the Second Karabakh War:
"They are students. We also have 4 employees who participated in the Patriotic War".
According to information from the Azerbaijan State Maritime Academy, currently 35 war participants are studying at ADDA.
It was noted by Sumgait State University (SDU) that 9 students who participated in both the 44-day Patriotic War and anti-terror operations continue their education at the university:
"Their heroism is always kept in the spotlight by the university community".
It was reported by Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) that 54 students who participated in the Patriotic War, 4 in anti-terror operations, and 1 student who participated in both the Patriotic War and anti-terror operations continue their education at AzTU:
"Thus, this figure totals 59 people".
