The rewarding of students selected according to special criteria continues within the framework of the "Brand Student" project, implemented with the joint organization of the AzEdu.az Education Portal and higher education institutions.
Today, "Brand Students" studying here were awarded, with the joint organization of AzEdu.az and Azerbaijan University.
The event was attended by Ləman Novruzova, Director of AzEdu.az Education Portal, Lalə Dilənova, Head of Public Relations Department, Asif Paşayev, Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies, Səfər Məmmədov, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Tural Qocayev, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics, and students who were deemed worthy of this status.
The award ceremony began with the opening speech of Lalə Dilənova. She congratulated the young people who were deemed worthy of the "Brand Student" title.
"You have been deemed worthy of this title not only for your academic achievements but also for your social activity, exemplary conduct, and for representing our university in the best possible way, both internally and externally. Today you are students, but tomorrow you will be active in various fields and will hold leading positions in your careers. I am confident that wherever you are, you have the potential to be a brand."
Ləman Novruzova spoke about the essence of the event:
"I sincerely congratulate all students who have been deemed worthy of this title. I believe that being one of ten people selected from thousands of students is both a source of pride and a responsibility. The university administration's inclusion of you in this list is a high appreciation of your knowledge, skills, and activity.
I would like to provide brief information about the project. The "Brand Student" project has been implemented by the AzEdu.az Education Portal for three years now. In the first year of the project, 20 universities cooperated with us, while this year that number has increased to 29. This is a clear example of the trust universities place in us.
Participants in the project are selected based on objective criteria. These criteria include academic performance, loyalty to state values, leadership skills, participation in social and volunteer activities, exemplary behavior on social media, and public activity.
Our goal is to create a healthy competitive environment among students, to present young people who distinguish themselves with their achievements to the public, and to provide them with additional motivation. This also serves as an example for other students. I believe that this initiative will have a positive impact on each of your future endeavors.
I express my gratitude to everyone participating here and wish them success."
Asif Paşayev wished the students success:
"It is not easy to make a selection based on these criteria. However, the young people gathered here today are the most deserving among those candidates.
I wish that each of you will continue to uphold the 'brand' name in your respective fields of activity even after graduation. We have always stood by our graduates and will continue to provide support.
The project creates a great incentive for both selected students and young people studying in other courses. First and second-year students are already inquiring about the essence of the "Brand Student" title, showing interest, and striving to be worthy of this name. This serves the main objective of the project: to foster a motivational and competitive environment among students.
I thank our guests for this noble initiative and wish for the project to continue. I congratulate our students once again and wish them success."
Finally, the "Brand Students" received their certificates of award, and a commemorative photo was taken.
