The State Examination Center has announced the results for closed and codable open-ended tasks (95 tasks) of the admission exam held on February 15, 2026, for master's programs of higher education institutions.
Across the republic, two bachelor students achieved the highest result.
One of them is Zahid Abdullayev. He scored 91 points in the 1st attempt of the master's admission exam.
Zahid Abdullayev shared his impressions about the exam to AzEdu.az.
He is a 5th-year student specializing in Process Automation Engineering at Baku Higher Oil School.
Z. Abdullayev noted that he was eagerly awaiting the exam results:
"It is true that the standard for the correct answers to the questions had been shared earlier by the State Examination Center, so my result was known to me. Afterwards, I shared my joy with my family, friends, and university management.
The final year comes with its own responsibilities: university classes, work life, applications to foreign universities – each requires considerable perseverance and diligence. Preparing for the local exam in parallel with these, I would say, was the main difficult part. However, throughout university life, Baku Higher Oil School teaches us precisely how to manage all these responsibilities together. High-quality education is the main secret to high performance".
Some questions were quite thought-provoking:
"The reasons for my high score are multifaceted. Just as we cannot attribute the deliciousness of a dish prepared in the kitchen to only one factor, many factors played an invaluable role in my results. I expected my score to be high based on the results I showed in practice tests, but the first-place aspect was more than I anticipated. The exam itself was satisfactory. Although some questions were quite time-consuming, I believe they could be solved with proper planning".
Setting goals correctly is a key condition for success:
"Currently, I am considering future opportunities. I have received positive responses from foreign scholarship programs, and career opportunities here are also interesting, which I am evaluating. My main goal is to continue my education in the field of electronics.
It is important to define one's goals concretely. I believe this will be the main factor that will propel them in the next stages. The correct choices they make thereafter will play a key role in their success. It is also advisable for them to find a study partner with whom they can study together during their preparation; this will be very beneficial when experiencing a lack of motivation.
Overall, I wish success to candidates who want to achieve a high score and earn a master's degree".
