Over the past five years, which specializations have been most frequently pursued by foreign students studying at the state's expense (free of charge) in the Republic of Azerbaijan?
Regarding the topic, the AzEdu.az Education Portal sent an inquiry to the State Agency for Science and Higher Education.
In response to our inquiry, the Agency stated that a continuous and significant increase in the number of foreign students has been observed over the past five years:
"The aforementioned increase is directly related to the targeted state policy implemented for attracting foreign students, the expansion of international cooperation, as well as the implementation of initiatives such as various Intergovernmental Scholarship Programs and the Heydar Aliyev International Education Grant.
These students primarily prefer to study at the country's leading higher education institutions. As for specialization areas, technical and technological fields, humanities and social sciences, economics and management, medicine, as well as education specializations are highlighted as the most preferred directions. This trend indicates a high interest in specializations that align with labor market demands," the EATDA reported.
