In the 2025–2026 academic year, a total of 80,677 students will be educated in general education institutions operating under the Shaki-Zagatala Regional Education Department. This includes 6,714 students in the 1st grade, 7,996 in the 9th grade, and 6,156 students expected to be educated in the 11th grade.
It was reported to AzEdu.az by the Department that 7,220 children will be enrolled in preschool education institutions operating in the north-western region, and approximately 5,205 five-year-old children will be enrolled in the school preparation groups of general education institutions.
In the 2024-2025 academic year, 9,379 teachers will be employed in general education institutions under the Department, and 1,395 educator-teachers will be employed in preschool education institutions.
It should be noted that currently, a total of 568 educational institutions are operating under the Shaki-Zagatala Regional Education Department, including 352 general, 204 preschool, and 12 out-of-school institutions.
