The Turkish side has put forward an initiative regarding the construction of a vocational education institution in the liberated territories (Aghdam). Currently, this issue is also relevant on the agenda.
AzEdu.az reports that Prime Minister Ali Asadov stated this at the 12th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey.
Ali Asadov said that, in general, we have excellent traditions in the field of education: “Thousands of Azerbaijani and Turkish citizens study in higher education institutions of both countries.
However, graduates of some Azerbaijani universities, even if they wish to continue their education in Turkey, are unable to do so. The reason is that the diplomas of these universities are not recognized by the Council of Higher Education of Turkey. The Azerbaijani side is hopeful for a positive resolution to this issue.
The Deputy Minister of Science and Education will be given the floor to make an additional report on our cooperation in the field of education.”
