Azerbaijani scientist elected academician of the Asian Academy of Sciences

In Hong Kong, China, Panah Muradov, Director General of the Institute of Microbiology and corresponding member of ANAS, was elected academician of the Asian Academy of Sciences at the First General Assembly of the Asian Academy of Sciences.

This was reported to AzEdu.az by the Institute of Microbiology.

The First General Assembly of the Asian Academy of Sciences was held with the participation of 120 representatives from various countries, including China, Russia (representatives of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chechnya, Republic, Republic of Dagestan, and Republic of Bashkortostan), India, Japan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, as well as non-Asian countries including the USA, France, Greece, and Moldova.

In addition, at the conference, the academy's management leadership – president, vice-presidents, secretary general and members of the presidium, deputy chairmen of the scientific council, chairmen of various committees, as well as the election of full members (academicians), corresponding members, and institutional members was confirmed.
