Two female teachers working at Kavunlu village primary school, located in the Güroymak district of Bitlis province, Turkey, work selflessly for the education of only 7 students, despite difficult winter conditions.
AzEdu.az reports, citing the Turkish press, that since the school, located 7 kilometers away from the district center, lacks a heating system, the teachers themselves chop wood, carry coal, and light stoves to heat the classrooms. Afterwards, they warmly welcome their students and begin the lesson process.
The teachers state that the winter season in the mountainous village is extremely harsh. Despite this, they emphasize that the difficulties they face do not diminish their love for their work. According to them, teaching in a village requires dedication, patience, and great responsibility.
The small number of students allows the teachers to work individually with each child. In addition to lessons, they organize various events and games to try and increase children's interest in school.
The teachers believe that every child, regardless of where they live, has the right to receive quality education under equal conditions, and they strive to fulfill this responsibility appropriately.
