On Sunday, the first attempt of the master's admission exam was held.
AzEdu.az contacted students who participated in the exam to learn their opinions regarding the exam process and the difficulty level of the questions.
During the survey, students primarily shared their opinions on the complexity level of the questions, the sufficiency of time, and the overall quality of the exam environment.
We present the students' impressions:
Mirdavud Mehtiyev, a 4th-year student of Informatics Teaching at Baku State University (BSU), noted that the questions were difficult:

“The questions were quite time-consuming. In particular, one question from the Informatics subject took a long time for me, and among the subjects, only English felt more comfortable. The Logic subject, however, required the necessary level of attention and preparation. I believe it is not entirely possible to answer these questions within 3 hours.
My mood affected my essay writing. After leaving the exam, other students also reported facing similar difficulties. Since time ran out, I could not complete and submit my answer sheet, and I am not entirely confident about the result. I will participate in the second chance exam and hope that the next exam will be more accessible for students".
Vagif Gafarzade, a 4th-year student of the Faculty of Energy at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), stated that the exam was more difficult compared to previous years:

“There were minor difficulties in English, Logic, and Informatics subjects. In the mock exams for Logic, I used to get 35-38 correct answers, but from yesterday's exam, I might have approximately 32 correct answers. Some questions were time-consuming, and two such questions appeared.
Since I have been involved with English since childhood, answering the questions in the exam was not difficult. My essay result is not yet known. I had some difficulty in Informatics as I am relatively weaker in that subject. Overall, I think I scored approximately 58 points.
The time allotted for the exam was sufficient, but the exam itself was difficult. Relatively challenging questions were placed at the beginning".
According to Eshgin Shirinov, a 4th-year student of the Faculty of Water Management at Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AUAC), he did not have enough time to answer the questions in the exam:

“Most of the questions in the Logic subject were mathematics-based. Answering one question took a lot of time. I even ran out of time to answer most of the questions in the English subject. In my opinion, English was the most difficult subject. Both the text and the grammar rules seemed challenging to me. The room where I took the exam was very small; only 7 of us were seated. The audio in the listening comprehension section echoed a lot, and because of this, I couldn't understand anything.
In the future, I would like to continue my master's education either at Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction or at Azerbaijan Technical University".
Thus, student feedback indicates that opinions regarding the first attempt of the master's admission exam were not unanimous. While some participants emphasized that the questions were complex and time-consuming, others noted that the allotted time was sufficient, but the difficulty level of the tasks was high.
