Today, there are bloggers who gain popularity on social networks and earn income from their activities. There are also suggestions in society that a separate blogging specialization should be created in the field of education, as interest in this profession is increasing day by day.
In this regard, a question arises: will it be possible to create such a specialization in the near future? Have any discussions been held regarding this? Or how realistic does the creation of this specialization seem?
AzEdu.az contacted Günel Əkbər, an elementary school teacher and “Exemplary Teacher” who creates interesting content on social media regarding the topic.
According to teacher Günel, there is no absolute need for specialization for this:
"Generally, blogging is about sharing one's lifestyle, way of life, thoughts, and ideas through certain platforms, isn't it? This can be in written form, video form, picture form, or by another method. There is no absolute need for specialization for this.
If you perform your job properly – as a teacher, as a doctor, as a chef, as a journalist – there is nothing wrong with presenting this activity to society in the form of a blog. Earning financial gain from this is also not wrong, in my opinion.
Again, I say, the main issue is that, in principle, the cornerstone, the foundation, depends on performing one's activity and work conscientiously and correctly. If you do this correctly, now I speak according to my own field – if I am a teacher and strive to be a good teacher, why shouldn't I inspire enthusiasm in other people by sharing my methods and activities? Why shouldn't I inspire them? Because I, too, was once inspired by my own teachers".
Although the concept of blogging did not exist in the past, the concept of being an “influencer” did:
"The concept of being influenced, of being inspired, has always existed. Today is the era of social media. Everyone can share what they want, as much as they want, with their circle. Imagine that your friends and acquaintances are no longer five or ten people, but hundreds of thousands. Naturally, not all of them look at you with the same eyes, and this crowd cannot be your close circle.
But if you are doing a good job and can transmit positive energy to people by sharing it, then why not? If you gain some income from this, why not that either? Frankly, I do not fully agree with the idea that “a separate specialization should be created for blogging”. Because I do not see blogging as a specialization. Creating a specialization here is akin to acting after opening the door. Again, I say, I don't think there's a need for it. The main thing is that a person performs their profession properly".
It should be noted that we sent an inquiry to the State Agency for Vocational Education regarding the topic.
In response to our inquiry, it was stated:
“After proposals regarding specializations are determined, it becomes clear which specializations will be created and which will continue. However, the creation of a blogging specialization alone does not seem realistic at the current stage".
