The registration process for participation in the “Young Teacher of the Year - 2024” competition, organized jointly by AzEdu.az Education Portal and "Azərbaycan müəllimi" newspaper, concluded on April 25, 2025.
Currently, work on the second stage of the competition is ongoing. In this stage, a group of experts appointed by the organizers evaluates the information submitted by registered teachers based on a 100-point scale.
This year, for the first time, not 100, but the names of 150 teachers will be announced to the public at the end of the second stage. This innovation aims to ensure broader participation opportunities in the selection process.
The list of 150 selected teachers will be presented to the public on 8 May 2025. From among them, 100, and then 50 teachers will qualify for the next stage. Individual interviews will be conducted online with each of the 50 teachers selected to participate in the final stage.
In the third stage, only 10 teachers will advance to the final. The evaluation of the finalists will be conducted based on three components:
- 10 points based on the interview;
- 20 points based on the results of online voting,
- and 70 points will be awarded based on the evaluation of a commission consisting of prominent science and education figures.
It should be noted that the “Young Teacher of the Year - 2024” project aims to promote the professional activities of young teachers, introduce their achievements to the wider public, and highlight positive examples in education.
