In the 2024-2025 academic year, graduates from general education institutions of the Autonomous Republic were admitted not only to higher education institutions operating in Nakhchivan but also to prestigious universities across the country. Of the 1861 graduates who gained student status, 591 chose pedagogical specializations. Among them, 88 graduates achieved results in the 500-700 point range.
So, what is the statistics for the last 3 years?
Regarding the topic, the AzEdu.az Education Portal sent an inquiry to the Ministry of Education of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
In response to our inquiry, the Ministry stated that in the 2022-2023 academic year, 422 out of 1605 graduates who gained student status chose pedagogical specializations:
"Among them, 23 graduates achieved results in the 500-700 point range. In the 2023-2024 academic year, 419 out of 1756 graduates who gained student status chose pedagogical specializations. Among them, 47 graduates achieved results in the 500-700 point range".
According to statistics, an increase in interest in pedagogical specializations has been observed among graduates of the Autonomous Republic over the last three years.
Particularly, in the 2024-2025 academic year, a significant increase in the number of graduates choosing pedagogical specializations, as well as those achieving results in the 500-700 point range, compared to previous years, draws attention. This indicates a growing interest in the teaching profession in the region.
