A decision has been made to close School No. 219, located in Səbail district, without stating any reason, as a result of which the working hours of teachers who teach students with physical disabilities under permanent contracts have been reduced.
AzEdu.az reports that teachers claim that after the decision to close the school was made in 2020, the admission of students with physical disabilities to this school was stopped. They state that their working hours have since decreased compared to previous years.
Teachers stated that despite repeatedly appealing to the relevant institutions, they were not informed about the reason for the school's closure nor about being provided with employment in other places.
Regarding the issue, the Baku City Education Department (BŞTİ) stated that the matter concerning the cessation of activities of Home Education Full Secondary School No. 219 is currently under discussion.
