Yesterday, one of the UAVs flying from Iranian territory fell near the full secondary school of Şəkərabad village in Babək district of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and exploded.
In connection with this, information was spread on social media yesterday that classes in schools in Nakhchivan were suspended, and students and teachers were evacuated.
So, what is the attendance of students in classes?
Commenting on the issue to AzEdu.az, Deputy Chairman of the Culture Committee of the Milli Majlis and member of the Human Rights Committee, Fazil Mustafa, noted that this information is unfounded:
“Even if such a situation arises, Nakhchivan's law enforcement agencies regulate it very precisely. If there is no longer a risk of danger, why should classes be suspended? It is not right to believe rumors in such matters.
Our state has taken all necessary measures in this direction. For example, yesterday, roads in Nakhchivan were also closed for the safety of citizens. Measures that needed to be taken in this direction have been implemented. The leadership of Nakhchivan has also fulfilled its duties at a high level.
Therefore, it is not right for someone to make unfounded criticisms or spread rumors in such matters. If classes are being held, it means this decision has been deemed appropriate. If it is advised that classes be held, then let them be held. There is nothing unusual here. If the risk of danger has decreased, activities will not cease indefinitely. Such incidents also occur in other countries. Therefore, I believe there is no need to dramatize this issue”.
